Visit the Lech World!

 The Wielkopolska region has another tourist attraction: Lech Browary Wielkopolski has opened the first and so far the only Polish beer tour centre.

The program of visiting one of Europe's most modern breweries includes not only a typical tour but also a trip to the multi-media 'LECH WORLD'. Unusual adventures unfold to the visitors: they may enter a can of Lech beer, single-handedly start the hissing and clicking 'machinery' - an imitation of the packaging line, participate in a quiz show and many other multi-media activities. Volunteers can spend more than two hours on following the secrets of beer production and fun in the modern multi-media centre. Each tour is crowned with tasting fresh cool beer in an ambient stylish pub.

You cannot miss the 'Lech World', located at the main gate to Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznań, at Szwajcarska St., opposite M1 shopping centre. The Tour Centre is seated in a neo-modernist building finished with raw concrete, glass and the characteristic copper, reminiscent of a boiling vessel. Inside the building every visitor is exposed to the mentioned multi-media attractions; the biggest includes a huge can of Lech beer inside of which you can take a picture and send it immediately by E-mail to your friends with greetings from the brewery.

Another great - literally - attraction is the 'Machinera' packaging line. Using a touch panel you will find out about the beer production process, single-handedly dosing malt, hops or launching the packaging line. 'Machinera' whistles, flashes and gurgles - see it for yourselves !!!

The next multi-media kiosk is a display of gadgets which you may purchase at the 'Lech World' shop, some of Lech commercials, fragments of advertising and sponsoring campaigns (for years Lech has been one of the biggest sponsors of the Polish sport). Further on you will find the digital 'Guest Book' - visitors of the 'Lech World' do not write but rather share their impressions with a video camera !

The last multi-media attraction is a quiz on beer production while the answers to the majority of the questions are given en route - all you have to do is listen carefully to the tour guide. And yes, the best quiz participants are awarded for their knowledge !

It is a real experience to participate in a brewery tour conducted by one of our specially trained guides, really expert at beer and beer production. Each tour starts with the 'heart of the brewery' - the brewhouse. The characteristic smells of malt and hops and the boiling wort contribute to the magic of the place . A visit to the brewhouse is followed by the fermentation process and then filtration. You will pass one of several laboratories and end up in the packaging factory where bottles and cans are speedily conveyed on packaging lines. During the tour you will touch the raw materials, peek into a boiling vessel and then watch a film on the Tour Centre hero - the LECH brand.

The visit at the 'Lech World' ends with tasting cold, delicious LECH beer in a flagship sports pub where many sports memorabilia have been collected. It is the only place where you can touch Tomasz Gollob's motorcycle.

At 'Lech World' there is also a shop where you can buy a souvenir from the tour of LECH Browary Wielkopolski!
